Transparency & trust

Vookamba is only valuable if the reviews on it are real. Here is what we do to protect that.
Every review is screened
Before a review appears, it passes through automated checks (for spam patterns, banned content, suspicious timing and duplicate text) and, where needed, a human moderator.
We act against fake reviews
- We look for unusual spikes of reviews, reviews from linked accounts, and reviews posted from the same device or network as the business.
- We may ask a reviewer to verify their experience. Reviews that fail verification are removed.
- Businesses caught buying, incentivising or posting fake reviews may have a warning notice displayed on their profile.
We don’t sell influence over scores
No business can pay Vookamba to change its rating, or to remove, hide or reorder genuine reviews. Moderation decisions are made against our published guidelines only.
Reporting and appeals
Anyone can report a review. Businesses can flag reviews from their claimed profile. If we remove your review and you disagree, you can ask us to look again via the contact page.
Legal requests
We respond to lawful requests from Zambian courts and regulators. If we receive a valid legal order to remove content, we will comply and, where permitted, tell the affected user.
