How Vookamba works

For people writing reviews

  1. Create a free account with your name and email address.
  2. Find the business using search or by browsing categories. If it isn’t listed, you can add it.
  3. Write your review. Give a star rating from 1 to 5, a headline and a description of your experience.
  4. We check it. Our moderation team reviews every submission against our guidelines. This usually takes less than 2 business days.
  5. It goes live and counts towards the business’s overall score. You can edit or delete it at any time from your dashboard.

How scores are calculated

A business’s score is the simple average of all its published reviews, shown out of 5 and rounded to one decimal place. Pending and rejected reviews are not counted. We show the full breakdown of 1–5 star reviews on every business page so you can see the whole picture, not just the average.

Moderation

We use a combination of automated checks and human review to look for reviews that are fake, abusive, contain personal data, or otherwise break our rules. We may contact a reviewer to ask for proof that they had a genuine experience. We do not remove reviews simply because a business disagrees with them.

For businesses

Businesses can claim their profile for free to reply to reviews, add their contact details and logo, and flag reviews they believe break our guidelines. Claiming a profile does not give a business any control over its score or the content of genuine reviews.

Reporting a review

Anyone with an account can report a review they believe breaks our guidelines using the “Report” link beneath it. Our team looks at every report.
